MK66™

THE MK66™. ZERO TOLERANCE. TOTAL DOMINANCE.

The MK66 is the original weapon system from Renegade Armory. It is a complete, no-compromise package engineered for environments where failure means casualties.

It begins with The Foundation: Our signature patented FTLS™ (Forward Trunnion Lock System) Upper Receiver, machined straight from a solid block of 7075-T6 billet.  The FTLS™ Upper Receiver features a massive, integrated forward trunnion which acts as a rigid handguard mount as well as an enhanced barrel housing – what we call “the vault”.

Every detail of the FTLS™ system has been reinforced, reengineered, and optimized to ensure maximum durability when it matters most.  Even the Picatinny Rail spine thickness has been increased to provide complete rigidity of the optical mounting under extreme and abusive circumstances.

The Thermal Core: Inside this vault, the barrel is secured via our undersized Thermal-Fit Bore. The receiver must be heated to accept the barrel extension, cooling to form a molecular-level bond that eliminates all harmonic vibration and nearly eliminates thermal shift down-range.

The Engine: Driven by a cleaner, cooler Fully Adjustable Piston System, the MK66 cycles with assertive reliability. The receivers, buffer tube, and handguard are coated in Renegade Obsidian™—a proprietary high-lubricity plating that allows the system to run dry and dirty without binding.  Paired with a DLC bolt carrier, the result is a reciprocating system that requires less gas, and more importantly, less oil to keep running.

The Interface: A patented, reinforced handguard slips over the FTLS™ Upper Receiver and is directly bolted to the rifle via 11 mounting bolts.  Lasers and other secondary optics can be safely mounted to the rail without fear of losing zero after repeated handguard impacts.

Small parts haven’t been spared from the Renegade philosophy.  A combat-rated single-stage 4.5lbs flat-faced trigger compliments Radian™ ambidextrous safeties and charging handles. The bolt is modified for more violent extraction. Every spring has been upgraded and tuned to push through carbon or dirt resistance.
